How do we know what is the best colon cleanser? When looking for this type of product, a rule of thumb is to look for the safest method. There are three types of cleansers- naturally changing our diet, taking herbal remedies or choosing the colon cleanse water flush or pills. But which one of these are said to be the safest?
Cleansing your colon naturally, by using food, is generally the safest way to go. But the con for this method is that it can take longer. If you do choose this route, however, you have options. You can either make sure you are getting enough water and fiber in your diet, or you can go on a juice-only fasting diet. If you choose solid food, make sure the fiber intake is between 25-30 grams daily, and the water is around 64 ounces or half of your pound weight in ounces.
Herbal remedies are another natural way to cleanse your colon. Herbs commonly used for this purpose include, but are not limited to, senna, ginger and the aloe leaf. Containing a bitter plant that produces bile, the herb can help to move the bowel along at a steadier pace.
Finally, there are the pills and colonic hydrotherapy or irrigations. When going to the drugs, avoid laxatives- they are meant to relief constipation on a temporary basis. Also make sure the drug of your choice is safe by either checking with the doctor or doing thorough research. The irrigation process uses a two-inch rectal tube to flush water and clean out the system. This is the fastest way, but is not recommended to do often.
The choice is up to you. It ultimately depends on how much time you have, and how safe you want to be. Natural is always the safest way to go when trying to find the best colon cleanser.
